A great book about choices
I bought this book for my goddaughter and my nephew. He makes all the wrong choices. She makes all the right choices. They love this book and coincidentally my husband‘s name is Danny so they got a really big kick out of that.

Choose to buy these! Great for all.
My kids love these books! Kudos to the power of choice. I’d love it if they had more main characters of diverse skin color. We needed up coloring Danny brown so my boys could associate brown skin with the power to choose too.Choose to buy these!

Demonstrates the P2C!
Love these books. My four year old first made all the “good” choices (so proud), and played out the story, then we spent lost of time going back through each time Danny had a choice so he could see how one small choice in a day could really affect other people and outcomes. He loves this and it really demonstrates that kids have a choice in how they act and react. He’s telling our family members and friends about it and thinks it’s so cool he gets to finish the story.

Great decision making book for kids
These book are big, which my son likes. Big words, big pictures. I have only read one story so far but I love it already. This book helps give a bigger picture of what I try to teach my kids all the time. I tell them “You always have 2 choices. The right choice and the wrong choice. You will have to deal with what happens after you pick one of those choices ” . This book is spot on to that. Most of the time we can not see ourselves when we do things or make curtain bad choices. This book give us that view from the outside which allows kids to see themselves from another point of view. I LOVE that you can go through BOTH choices to see the different outcome. I love this book so much I am going to purchase another one for my son Kindergarten class.

Love the books. Wish there were more
My child likes these books. I as a parent almost love them. The books themselves are gems. The only thing missing is the next books as these characters age and get more complex choices and the reading becomes a little more complex. This is perfect for about ages 4 -7. Once you have read them in many times you are ready for more….I would love to see a few more at this exact reading level, and then maybe see the characters grow up. The books are great and when you’re building a new avid reader you want him or her to be able to connect to the characters… Please write more!

Great teaching tool!
I teach multiple social skills classes every day for k-4 students. I don’t have a specific curriculum that I use so I am always pulling different books that teach important life lessons to go along with some of the activities and worksheets we do in class. I found this book set on sale from Amazon a few months ago and I’ve been using it in my classes. Every single one of my students love them. These books are absolutely great and we have read them quite a few times each already. My absolute favorite thing about this Power to Choose series is that throughout the books the reader is given an opportunity to make a choice about what the main character should do. Based on your choice the story changes. Some of the books have as many as 9 different stories that are possible based on your choices. My students take turns choosing what to do as we are reading, then when we get to an ending we start over and the students make different choices. We then talk about how our choices impacted Danny’s day and how his day turned out and how our choices can change our day in positive or negative ways. I highly recommend this series to any elementary teachers or any parents. I also purchased the What Should Darla Do? book by the same authors. That book is great as well.
