Fine with tweaks
I bought this guitar to learn on after I found a full sized dreadnought too big for me. This is a very cheap guitar. Obviously, you get what you pay for. The strings that come on this are awful. They cannot hold tuning at all and make it sound like a toy. I replaced the strings with an $8 set from Ernie Ball and it sounds and plays so much better. I also had to file down the plastic part of the bridge. Both the bridge and the nut are plastic, and the bridge is way too high. Once I filed grooves in it for the strings, they sit much better. The default bridge height makes this guitar much harder to play. All of that said, you aren’t likely to find a new guitar any cheaper and with my tweaks it’s a decent learning instrument.

Nice Set Up
I absolutely love this beginner’s guitar set for kids. It is made of wood which gives it more of a feel of authenticity about it; instead of plastic, and my kid feels like he is getting something genuine and therefore being taken more seriously about learning. The app with two months of free lessons has made both of us excited. Nylon strings make it easier on his little hands and does not fatigue so easily and less pain associated with learning. As he progresses along, he will be able to learn the more complicated tunes and genres of music more easily.Now, when his friends come over, we set up the back patio to look like a stage with chairs in front and he walks out to his friends applauding him as he pulls the guitar out of the bag that comes with it, and he feels like he is a star. Well, thanks to this, we might just be well and truly on our way to having one. Taylor Who?

Great beginner guitar
This is a great guitar for beginners that looks cool and is easy to play. Seems to be very sturdy and holds a tune very well. Thank you for a great product at a great price
Kinda torn
I’m an adult beginner. Never played an instrument.I think the body of the instrument is a nice quality. Feels solid and not like a toy.Problem is the strings. It DOES NOT HOLD A TUNE. You can get it in tune and 5 minutes later it’ll be out of tune. Very frustrating because you can’t tell if it’s your playing/fingering or the guitar that is making it sound wrong.I bought new nylon strings for GBE strings and that seems to help but it goes flat instead of out of tune. For the money on something that I’m not 100% sure I’ll stick with as far as playing guitar is concerned this is a decent purchase. The tuning is a big hurdle.It does come with everything you need to start playing though. So maybe 3.5 stars.

Great for beginners!
I bought this for my son who just started instruments in school and this is great quality for the price. We love the sound quality and it is lightweight for kids to play easily. Super sturdy so you don’t have to worry about it breaking.

Nice to play
I bought the full size version of this guitar for myself to learn some tunes on. My son has several guitars and has been showing me a few things. All his have metal strings and I find them hard on my hands as a newbie. I decided to pick up this inexpensive guitar so that I could string it how I like and have something of my own to play. I liked the idea of the nylon strings this came with because I heard they were easier to learn to play on. I do indeed find them more gentle on my hands and allow me to practice longer. I enjoy playing this guitar. The tone is warm and mellow and sounds good.

My take on this 30″ classical guitar
I have been playing the heck out of this 1/4 size classical nylon guitar and it’s time for my review. I am no beginner. I call myself a guitar hack, as my technical knowledge of music theory is um, spotty. I am a full sized 71 year old adult 5’8″ with average sized hands. I enjoy playing the smaller sized guitars and never expected this little guy to boom out like a 41″ dreadnot guitar. It has a 20″ scale and is 30″ end to end. It arrived quickly and I saw no visible damage. As for tuning it? I need to say we live on the big island Puna District. We leave our windows open always. The climate, humidity, etc make it impossible for any hollow body acoustic to stay in tune overnight. Ever. Tune it in the early day, and it will go sharp overnight. Having said that, the tuners are just okay. They do the job. The guitar has a decent finish. I am going to add fret markers on the side of the neck just like on my steel string acoustics. Classical guitars have few fret markers, and I need the full set. It comes with a bare minimum gig bag with no real padding and a storage pocket. Spare set of strings, A capo, and a strap. Has a strap pin in the end of the body and none at the top, but the strap has a string to tie that end onto the neck. No tuner came with it. Too bad because I have bought four Pyle acoustics and they came with great rechargeable tuners that I love. The neck seems straight and does not have a truss rod. Many classical guitars, even full sized ones like Yamaha do not have truss rods. This one has no “kerfing” inside. My Pyle 34″ steel string acoustic has full kerfing. This 30″ is tuned to standard guitar tuning, EADGBE. I’m quite sure, with the right strings, one could tune it down five frets to A and call it a guitelele, like my Yamaha GL-1. I plan to leave it standard tuning. It developed a bit of a fret buzz caused by the 3rd fret. When pressing down the D string the second fret it would buzz. The harder you picked that string, the worse it was. I agonized whether I should send it back or not for a couple weeks. Then, after a particularly hot dry spell here, the buzzing quite. I have played this every day. I like to grab my guitar whenever I want and I may pick it up and play 10-15 times a day. I have grown to really love this handy little classical and enjoy the nylon strings and sound it gives me is very nice! I am going to install a piezo pickup inside the body and will have to drill a small hole for the input jack. I could see myself playing one or two of my original songs at an open mic night using one of my amps. I’m a blues oriented player. I like I play slide, and I often use a slide with this guitar. I tune the high E sting down 2 frets to a D, as it really gives a fuller sound with a slide. I love this little bugger and would buy it again. My kitty liked it too!
Varnish uneven
Pretty cute guitar that seems like it has decent sound. I need to tune it again to see how it holds up but that’s normal in the beginning. Unfortunately mine came with a vanish abnormality which is annoying because it was a birthday present. I tried too contact support but the website crashed and wouldn’t accept my pictures.
