Great Longevity and Developmental Aid
This was one of the best toys we bought for our baby. We gave it to her at 3 months when she was starting to respond to crinkle fabrics. She’s nearly 8 months now and it’s still one of her favorite toys. The colors are bright and vibrant to grab and keep her attention. The crinkle scales are fun to grab, especially the different fabric textures. She finds the characters hidden behind the scales interesting and is just starting to engage with that bit on her own. It’s about the size of a book, very light, and flat — so it sits on her lap perfectly when we work on independent play and is easy to grab and go. It was also nice to use during tummy time when we were trying to get her to lift her head and then lift up on her arms. Plus it has a squeaker and teethers in the tail, which she loves.

Soft and perfect for littles
My little has played with this every day for 4 months already. I recommend as it will keep them engaged and as they develop while being nice and soft for all ages. He loves the chew rings on them as he is starting to go through teething as well.

The Fish That Flipped Its Way into Our Hearts (and Our Tummy Time Routine)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 Stars – The Fish That Flipped Its Way into Our Hearts (and Our Tummy Time Routine)If you’re looking for a toy that delivers endless smiles, sensory delight, and the occasional giggle snort from your baby or grandbaby—look no further than the Melissa & Doug Flip Fish Soft Baby Toy. This fin-tastic friend has been part of our floor play lineup for a while now, and let me tell you: it never disappoints.I originally got it for my twin granddaughters, and it became one of our top tummy time MVPs. It’s colorful, crinkly, washable, and makes just enough noise to be fun—not frantic. Here’s why we love it:🐟 Peek-a-boo scales – Each one hides a little surprise underneath, which is baby gold. I don’t know why that’s so thrilling to a 9-month-old, but hey—joy is joy.🐟 Crinkly textures everywhere – Every flip of a fin rewards their little hands with that satisfying crinkle. It’s like bubble wrap for babies.🐟 Mirror, mirror, in the fish – A shatterproof mirror lets them stare at the world’s most fascinating creature: themselves. (And yes, baby selfies have happened.)🐟 Squeaky tail = strong fingers – That tail got squished a hundred times a day during their “what happens if I squeeze this?” phase. Great for fine motor skills and adorable little laughs.🐟 Easy to clean – Washable fabrics that stand up to drool, snack residue, and one unfortunate juice box incident. Still looks good as new. This fish is soft enough to cuddle, exciting enough to explore, and durable enough to go through all the baby stages from drool monster to teething tornado. Plus, it’s just so cute that you don’t even mind stepping on it occasionally.Final verdict:Whether you’re gifting it or keeping it for your own little guppy, this is a toy that truly makes a splash.

Great toy for babies.
Cute baby toy for my infant. It makes her busy and I like that the “fins” have a plastic thing inside that makes noise when touched. It is soft and light weight. Size is perfect for my little crawler.

Peek a boo fish.
Once baby learns object permanence, the scales are a hit ! Under most of the scales is a little ocean themed picture that the baby can lift to see. Sort of like peek a boo with flaps. One flap has a mirror for a scale which is great as well. Two ends of tail are different teethers & there’s a squeaker in the tail as well. Super super soft. Super vibrant colors. Great size. Peek a boo fish. 10/10

Colorful baby toy
I have purchased quite a few of “Mr. Fish” for baby gifts. A Melissa and Doug toy is always a quality product. This toy is very colorful and has many parts that squeak and crinkle. It is a great toy for tummy time and for tactile stimulation. There are teething rings too.

Cute fish, lovely sound and color
I love the colors and all the scales make a crinkly sound my baby loves. The shape of the fish is a little difficult to interact with for a baby under 5 months but they still have fun if the fish is propped up.

Baby will love it !!
It is larger than the picture portrays it. At least I thought so. Was pleasantly surprised as it just was nicer and bigger than I expected. Baby loves it !!!

Worth the money
I originally bought this when my son was 2 months old, I used it as a tummy time toy for him and wasn’t sure if he would like to play with it as he grows up, he loves though, as soon as he hit grabbing and touching milestone, he was attracted to all the colors of this. This fish has a lot of cool textures to it and my son loves to open and close the flaps of it. I bought this item when it was on sale and honestly even if this wasn’t on sale I would’ve still bought it. It’s easy for kids to play with, it’s light weight so your child can easily hold it without needing help from an adult. It has a cute little honking mechanism on the tail that came to us as a fun surprise. My baby is almost 7 months old and still likes to play with this.

Way bigger than the picture!
Our 6 month old son loves it and it’s really big! We lay it on the ground next to him to play with and we always see him messing with it. One of the fins has a chewer which is great if your little one is teething and it of course makes Kringle noises which is great for sensory. I definitely recommend!
