Absolutely Love my Doxie Block-Center 3D Puzzle!!!
The media could not be loaded.
I’ve always had a passion for Lego, ever since I was a child. Lately I have become more interested in 3D Lego, but many of the sets are prohibitively expensive. I started exploring alternatives to the brand name and one of the ones that I found, with a very good price point was this Block-Center Set.I prefer to use a systematic approach to building puzzles, as my strategy and be more organized. This made the building process significantly easier, to help find the pieces needed for each step, as well as how it made the assembly process move along much quicker.Due to the small size of the individual pieces and the amounts of each needed per step, I highly recommend separating the pieces in advance, for which you will be thankful of having done it, as the puzzle progresses.I sorted the pieces by size and placed them in bowls, to help locate them on the fly. The most common pieces were the 3s and I made two bowls of them. I sorted them into 1x1s all colors squares, 1x2s and 2x2s all colors, 2x3s black only, 1x3s all colors with rest of 2x3s, 1x4s and 2x4s all colors, 2x6s all colors, 2x8s all colors, 1x10s and 2x10s all colors, L shape (3s) all colors and all rounds, triangle and other small selection assortments in the last bowl. I used a total of 9 bowls. This puzzle is recommended for ages 14+ but can certainly be done by younger folks. The pieces are a bit small and do require a little more dexterity than that of full-sized pieces. After all this is a this is a 2,100 piece set and the total stated completed size is 7.6″ H, x 4.7″ L, x 9.4″ D. It does come with a handy miniature brick separator and assembly helper tool, that worked for me to tighten small attachments in otherwise hard to leverage spots. The instructions were very easy to follow, with detailed illustrations, as well as a list of every piece needed for each step. This would a very helpful guide, ensuring that it minimizes any possible confusion. The completed portion in every illustration appears in gray, to see exactly what step you are up to. There are a total of 7 colors (black, light brown, brown, blue, gray, white, and red), with the bulk being black and light brown. The red pieces were probably just there as a color aid, as none of them remained visible once the puzzle was completed.I’m very pleased with the way that my Dachshund (Doxie) looks!

Absolute Nightmare to Assemble
This is not easy to assemble. Wish I had not purchased two of these builds from the same seller at the same time. Bought this as a gift and can’t imagine that the teenager I purchased this for would be able to put this together. It is definitely a challenge and in no way anywhere close to the type of direction you get from Legos. Absolutely would not recommend, especially to those with dexterity issues or younger people. This is a very cute product, unfortunately it is too difficult for most to assemble.

pieces are small, but the end product is all that matters.
This brick set looks great once it’s fully assembled, but getting there can be a bit of a challenge. The pieces are very small—much smaller than standard bricks—so building requires a lot of precision. Some parts were really hard to press together; we even had to use a Hydroflask to push some pieces down because they just wouldn’t snap in easily by hand. The instructions aren’t the clearest, so you have to double-check each step and make sure you’re using the exact right piece. It’s easy to make mistakes if you’re not careful.Despite the effort, the finished product does look really good. If you’re up for a bit of a challenge and don’t mind working with tiny pieces, it’s a solid set overall.

Great product
Great product! I bought this for my 13-year-old daughter and she had a great time putting it together!

Worth it!
My first build…didn’t realize there was a difference between mini and normal bricks I would have chosen an easier project. But, I learned a lot…mostly not to buy mini (LOL), but with unending patience, ripping apart and rebuilding, and a little Gorilla glue, and I did finish it. It is so cute and worth every cuss word. Looks just like my Amy!

Awesome build

Instructions could be better, sorting could be better, design is lacking in few weak spots, yet with all that the end result worth it!I recommend sort by type of brick and color before starting. My 9 yo daughter did most of it and I did QA/QC to make sure it’s right.

Enjoyable build
This was the most fun I have had doing a puzzle like this. It was a challenge to say the least. You have to be spot on or it doesn’t line up. BUT I will definitely be ordering another of this style. Extra pieces and good quality.

Great for Older/Adult Lego Lovers
I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, who loves Legos but always finishes them right away and then I feel like I wasted my money. This dog took him a good 3 days of working many hours before he finished it finally. It is pretty big when finished and feels pretty sturdy. I think it was a little bit of torture to him because he wanted to finish it. I got quite a bit of enjoyment out of it. The blocks are small and the instructions are a little difficult. His biggest complaint was that with the blocks being so small they did start to hurt his fingers after doing it for so long. Because it does take so long to finish you also have a much bigger chance of losing blocks so definitely be careful. Overall I think this was a great purchase. It kept my Lego lover busy for a good amount of time and the end result actually looks pretty neat. I wouldn’t recommend it for young kids though.

Really fun, but be prepared to decipher instructions
The instructions require focus and a lot of counting the dots on the pieces. It took me a couple of weeks working on and off to finish it (many hours were put in). I did opt to change a couple of things on it as some of the design didn’t make sense for me personally. The tail repeatedly fell off as I was working on it which caused a single piece to come off. I could not find where it came off (yet somehow it made the tail sturdier after it was gone). Could probably still use some glue to really hold things in place, but I’m not too worried about it. Lots of fun (as long as you catch mistakes you may have made quickly, otherwise you will be angry and have to disassemble several layers). I needed something to keep my mind busy as I was unable to walk or leave my house. This really made me have to use my brain so it was nice.Pro Tip: Use the brown tool provided to place the single square pieces to save your fingers from hurting or breaking everything into pieces (if you have bigger or less agile fingers).
