Cool toy didn’t last long
My daughter was afraid of this toy at 11 months when I first purchased it for her. It grew on her though almost a year later around 22 months. We didn’t use it very much but today it just stopped working even with new batteries.

My baby loved this toy, but it’s annoying and dangerous
My baby absolutely loved playing with this toy, and I had to sneak it into the trash when it finally self-destructed. The short run time when the toy was activated and loud music was very annoying to me, so during one of the times I had to fix it, I used a toothpick to destroy the speaker. This toy seems designed to self-destruct. The rubber spikes have black plastic cups pushed inside of them, but they are only pressure fit, there’s no adhesive of any kind. When this toy is dropped and thrown as suggested it can be in the project description, these cups come loose and get in the way of the metal disc that swings around to make the toy move. This causes the motor to seize up. I had to push cups back in place multiple times. I was going to remove them, but then I realized that the spikes could easily be pulled out if these cups are not in place. I also noticed that these cups getting in the way caused the disc to cut into the plastic and wires on the inside, as you can see in my photos I uploaded. This toy only lasted 4 months.

LOVE IT!
I had one for my son years ago. It was his favorite toy. I was very excited to get one for h8s son. My grandson is almost a year old. This is now his favorite toy. It took a minute to get him used to it. I probably should have waited for him to be a little older but I held it and put it on his belly like I was tickling him with it. A couple times, and he absolutely loved it. It is now his favorite toy. The sound doesn’t go too long. Which is nice for the parents. As far as teething, it does shake , so having it against their teeth probably isn’t the best. My grandson like to put it up to his mouth and make noises. He finds it funny. I think almost ever kid would love it.

Super fun
Our son loves to check on the knows and everybody else in the house has fun with it too lol. I recommend turning it off during nap times or night however because if it gets bumped or the ground shakes just a little but from walking it goes off and can be loud

Got used/dirty item when purchased new
I am returning it because the item has grime on it inside the box. It looks like it had been used and then returned subsequently. I think I got a used one when I purchased a new one. Beware!Update and revised Review: got a second item After returning the first. It had brown marks on the silicone spikes as well. I think the material picks up dirt in the box and so I suggest cleaning the whole thing well prior to giving it to a child to play with. The toy, however, was fascinating for the baby, he loved holding onto it as it vibrated because The sensation was so unusual. He also liked the fact that it bounced and moved around by itself. We however got really sick of the song being played over and over and over.

How do you get the ball to shake?
Couldn’t get the ball to shake at all. The music is cutsy. I placed the red button to the middle position per instructions, but NO movement, only music!
